Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Director of Travel Companions to lead our innovative program dedicated to providing personalized travel assistance and companionship for individuals with diverse needs. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, management, and expansion of our travel companion services, ensuring that clients receive engaging, safe, and enriching travel experiences. Your leadership will foster a team committed to empowering underserved communities and individuals with disabilities, creating memorable journeys that promote independence and social inclusion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence social service programs on a broad scale while maintaining a focus on client-centered care and community engagement. Responsibilities Lead the strategic planning and execution of the Travel Companions program, aligning services with community needs and organizational goals. Supervise and mentor a team of travel companions, social service staff, and program coordinators, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Develop comprehensive training protocols to ensure staff are equipped with skills in behavioral health, disability support, cultural competency, and safety procedures. Manage program budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and funding requirements. Cultivate strong relationships with community partners, healthcare providers, families, and clients to promote program awareness and build trust. Oversee client intake processes, ensuring clear communication of services, expectations, and safety measures; address client concerns promptly. Monitor program outcomes through data collection and reporting; continuously seek opportunities for improvement in service delivery. Requirements Extensive experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general within social services or related fields. Proven leadership in social services administration with supervisory experience in managing staff involved in behavioral health or disability support programs. Strong relationship management skills to engage effectively with clients, families, community partners, and team members. Demonstrated administrative expertise including budgeting, compliance adherence, program development, and staff supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse populations effectively. Exceptional writing skills for preparing reports, client communications, and program documentation. Experience working with underserved communities to promote equity in access to social services. Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices relevant to supporting individuals with disabilities or mental health needs. Technical project management experience overseeing complex programs from inception through evaluation; supervisory experience is essential for leading teams effectively. Pay:
$12,000.00 - $112,000.00 per year
