Full Job Description SUMMARY:
Lead on all projects related to North Florida Medical Centers' Electronic Medical Records to include: Electronic Health Records (EHR), Health Information Exchange (HIE), Health Information Technology (HIT), and Practice Management (PM). Guides the work of functional leaders and their teams relative to the
EMR. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The EHR Director is the direct supervisor of the EHR Training Specialist I and II, and other EHR staff.
SCHEDULE/HOURS
Full Time Monday - Friday Typically 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. No weekends Circumstances may require the employee to work hours outside of those listed, but that is rare.
LOCATION
This position is based at the Corporate Office in Tallahassee, FL, and may require travel to our other locations. This is not a remote position. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree in business engineering, sciences, business administration, healthcare administration, public health, or health informatics. Master's degree preferred. Project Management certification or 2 years' experience. Must become a certified professional in EHR within 18 months of hire, and optionally, add certification in HIE and HIT. Experience with EHR, EDR, and other EMR systems a plus. Experience with eClinicalWorks preferred.
