Responsibilities:
The Legislative Assistant will support the governmental affairs team by assisting with legislative tracking, member advocacy, political engagement, and coordination related to Florida's legislative and executive branch processes.
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have experience with and knowledge of the Florida legislative process, including the Cabinet, Legislature, legislative session, and related terminology and procedures. Candidates must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment, effective interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Candidates should also have strong organizational and time-management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and the ability to use social media platforms professionally.
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of LobbyTools and Voter Voice is preferred but not required.
Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree is required, along with at least one year of experience working in a governmental or legislative affairs office.
