Community Friendship, Inc. Job Description Director of Supported Employment I. General - The Program Director of Work Opportunities reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the daily operation and oversight of the Work Opportunities department. The Work Opportunities Department consists of Employment Coordinators who help our clients obtain and maintain gainful employment within the community. All consumers possess a mental health diagnosis and benefit from the assistance of this team to access work exploration opportunities, job readiness skills, and resources that can help in the search for employment. The Program Director provides direction and structure for the team by directing and coordinating activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies set by Community Friendship, Inc. (CFI), and governing bodies as indicated. The Program Director diligently reflects the principles of Psychiatric Rehabilitation (PSR) and the mission of CFI in the day-to-day work activities and decision-making process. II. Major Duties and Responsibilities A. Responsible for the overall success of the department Provides guidance, direction and leadership for the department Maintains 90% program participant rate based on contract deliverables Monitors and assigns caseloads, communicates with referral sources, and tracks compliance with program deliverables Maintains fidelity to the model, contractual requirements, and expected deliverables Continually assess program for efficiency and develops new systems as needed to streamline processes and procedures Communicates regularly with COO about problems, needs, concerns, and accomplishments Develops and/or maintains record keeping system to comply with requirements of all funding sources and state regulations. Maintains records and prepares statistics for monthly reports and audits performed by governing bodies according to contract Assists in maintaining CARF Compliance and preparing for all audits Recognizes and acts on opportunities to enhance or create new initiatives with the development of new services/supports Ensures CFI has a positive relationship with community worksite partners and employers, providing prompt responses when partners identify a concern or request consultation Work in promoting community acceptance and support through participation in community activities and/or liaison efforts with other agencies or entities Works with the Accounting department to develop and implement annual budget to meet fiduciary requirements for the department Routinely reviews budget to ensure program is on track to meet financial expectations and deliverables Supervises a team of Employment Coordinators and is ultimately responsible for staff members: o Time and attendance o Onboarding and on-the-job training o Assigned schedule o Timely completion of documentation according to CFI policy o Completion of annual CFI training o Completion of required training based on role, contract, or department o Annual performance evaluation B. Performs Programmatic and Administrative Responsibilities Reviews and assists in the development of programmatic policies and procedures, escalating ideas for changes and/or improvements as needed Reviews and monitors all program enrollments and discharges Establishes new referral sources to generate business and ensure program is meeting census requirements Ensures individual recovery plans (IRPs) are developed, reviewed with the individual served, and meets the needs of the consumer Ensures all paperwork is completed, accurate, and submitted by the appropriate due date(s) Ensures employees document individual and group progress notes reflecting Medicaid required documentation standards Ensures in the preparation and maintenance of high-quality documentation, adhering to industry standards and best practices, to support accurate and efficient compliance and billable requirements. Follows case review process to ensure all progress notes are entered on time and meet the regulatory standards. Attends all required meetings Develops and monitors goals and objectives and institutes procedures for maintaining high quality services based on best practices and fidelity models Completes incidents/accident reports in a timely manner as required by CFI policy Participates in regular professional development in accordance with discipline and level of skill as needed Completes annual Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) for department Works to meet the goals and objectives impacted in the CFI Strategic Plan as appropriate Trains staff and coaches as necessary to ensure quality documentation of but not limited to: progress notes, career plans/vocational assessments, step down plans, employment questionnaires, disclosure forms, discharge summaries, Skills Rating Sheets, etc. C. Supervises Designated Staff Monitors job performance to ensure that agency's goals and objectives are being met. Assist in the completion of annual performance reviews. Directs staff job results by coaching, counseling, monitoring, and providing discipline regularly and as needed Assigns duties, establishes goals, sets priorities with assigned timelines and expectations Advises and follows up with staff regarding consumers and program progress and outcomes Implements personnel policy system to ensure staff awareness of policies and procedures. Regularly meets with staff to address personnel, program and administrative issues and consults with supervisor and/or HR regarding issues requiring administrative attention Participates in Staff Development/Training o Inspires and motivates team members; directs work group toward common goal o Routinely provides feedback, coaching and support to employees directly supervised, serving as a positive role model o Provides guidance and opportunities to staff for their development and advancement. o Identifies staff training needs or opportunities, and reviews information concerning training opportunities. o Provides assistance in planning conferences and in-service training to ensure completion of yearly required training for staff o Performs other duties as assigned and ensures all duties are performed in accordance with CFI's policies and procedures, as well as other governing bodies. D. Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, motivate, and build relationships with groups and individuals Must be able to work with diverse groups of individuals Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills High degree of integrity Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills. Thorough knowledge and understanding of the agency's goals and objectives Must have knowledge of principles of working with adults with mental illness F. Qualifications Completion of an undergraduate degree in social work, psychology, or closely related field
• 3+ years experience supervising others with preferred supervisor experience in employment services

Preferred:
At least 3 experience in job development or job placement services Must possess a current Georgia driver's license and be insurable in the state of Georgia
• Preference for experience working with adults who have severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) Preference for experience overseeing state and federal contracts/grants G. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift 25 - 50lbs, retrieving and placing materials on high shelves and on floor-level shelves; standing, walking; carrying; grasping; hearing; seeing; sitting; kneeling; climbing; balancing; stooping; crouching and reaching.
