Job Summary:

Under general direction, coordinates and supervises Housing Authority supportive services, housing counseling, and Family Self-Sufficiency programs. Provides housing counseling, develops housing stability initiatives, supervises program staff, and builds community partnerships to improve outcomes for Housing Authority participants.

Minimum Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure, Other:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Public Administration, Counseling, or related field and three years of progressively responsible experience in housing programs, social services, case management, program administration, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. HUD Housing Counseling Certification Exam within 12 months of hire. Valid State of Iowa driver's license with satisfactory driving record. Must be 18 years of age. Must pass criminal background check.

Preferred Education, Experience, Certification/Licensure, Other:

Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field. HUD Certified Housing Counselor certification. Experience working with Housing Choice Voucher, Public Housing, Family Self Sufficiency, or other HUD-assisted housing programs. Experience supervising professional or human service staff. Experience with grant administration, program evaluation, and community partnership development. Public Housing Authority certification.
