Part-Time (20 hours/week) About SciTech SciTech is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring curiosity and a lifelong love of STEM through hands-on, engaging educational experiences. With deep roots in the local community, SciTech serves learners of all ages through on-site programs, camps, and community-based initiatives. Position Overview The Director of Programs & Education is a part-time leadership role responsible for the development and oversight of SciTech's educational programming. This position focuses on designing and implementing both on-site and off-site programs that are innovative, engaging, and aligned with SciTech's mission. The Director will ensure program quality, support instructional staff, and help expand SciTech's reach within the community. This role also offers the opportunity for additional hours as a Program Educator, as well as potential for growth into a future Executive Director position as part of the organization's long-term leadership planning. Key Responsibilities Develop and support engaging STEM programs delivered both on-site and at partner locations (schools, community sites, etc.) Adapt and refine existing curriculum while contributing to new program development Ensure consistency and quality in program delivery across multiple locations Support and guide program staff, including teachers and instructional assistants Assist with staff onboarding and training Collaborate with leadership on program planning and scheduling Build and maintain relationships with school partners and community organizations Coordinate logistics for programs across sites Gather feedback and support ongoing program improvements Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or working toward a degree) in Education, STEM, or a related field OR equivalent experience 2+ years of experience working with youth in an educational, camp, or informal learning environment Experience leading activities, lessons, or programs for children Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple programs or schedules Effective communication and collaboration skills Passion for STEM education and hands-on learning Preferred (Not Required) Experience with curriculum development or lesson planning Experience working with schools or community-based programs Experience supporting diverse learners, including those with unique needs Prior leadership or supervisory experience Compensation $25/hour and up, depending on experience Opportunity for additional hours as a Program Educator Potential to grow into a full-time role and future Executive Director positionPay:
