Duties- Gather, analyze, and prioritize vast amounts of information and data from various online and other sources related to public/school/facility safety and security.
- Monitor and transmit real-time information via police radio and other communication platforms concerning public/school/facility safety and security .
- Monitor emergency alert systems, internet traffic, and social media platforms.
- Monitor and navigate public/school/facility surveillance and camera systems.
- Timely and accurately report detailed information to first responders concerning active public/school/facility threats, emergencies, and disaster events.
- Simultaneously monitor and navigate and multiple computer applications and systems related to public/school/facility safety and security.
- Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Sheriff. Skill, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Ability to timely and accurately verbally communicate clear and concise observations, data, and information to others via multiple platforms.
- Ability to timely and accurately create written documents/reports within deadlines.
- Working Knowledge of LCSD rules, codes, procedures, and English grammar.
- Working Knowledge and ability to research local ordinances and state laws.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Able to retain and comprehend written/oral instructions and present findings.
- Ability to comprehend emergent situations and communicate with public safety agencies orally/in person/in writing while being sensitive to cultural diversity.
- Successfully complete training classes that may require out-of-town travel.
- Ability to safeguard and protect sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to comply with all employer and departmental policies and procedures. Essential Functions
