Property & Tenant Management Manage day-to-day operations of Community Action's rental properties. Fill vacancies in line with the Tenant Selection Plan and Housing Management Plan. Maintain accurate and timely tenant files. Oversee move-ins, move-outs, certifications, rent collection, lease enforcement, and tenant communications. Coordinate maintenance with facilities staff and ensure ADA compliance. Monitor housing phone line and address tenant issues, grievances, or emergencies. Facilitate monthly tenant meetings at Tanglewood and other properties as needed. Connect tenants with additional Community Action or community resources. Maintain vacancy rate at or below 10% and ensure 90% rent payment compliance. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure compliance with landlord/tenant laws, fair housing regulations, and internal policies. Monitor tenant interactions and files for accuracy and compliance. Participate in audits and monitoring reviews with minimal findings. Conduct annual tenant surveys to assess satisfaction and outcomes. Review housing procedures bi-annually for compliance with current laws and grant requirements. Resource Development & Reporting Prepare housing reports and documentation for grants. Assist with grant writing and identify new funding or partnership opportunities. Expand affordable housing initiatives. Support agency strategic planning and program goal setting. Agency & Mission Support Demonstrate commitment to Community Action's mission, vision, and values. Practice trauma-informed care and customer-centered service. Attend agency events, meetings, and trainings. Uphold professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality in all responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Prior to Hire into the
Position:
Associate's Degree May not hold or run for a partisan, publicly elected office while working for Community Action. Must be able to communicate fluently in writing and verbally in English Must have a clean background check through Child Abuse Registry, Federal EPLS, and satisfactory KBI Background check revealing no barriers to legal or authorized work at Community Action Must be able to travel to work sites within Community Action's service territory daily. Valid Driver's License and capacity to be mobile as required, and the ability to be covered under Community Action's non-owned and hired vehicle policy and have access to reliable transportation is required.
