Severn Management Company specializes in USDA, LIHTC, Section 8/HUD rental properties. As an affordable housing property management company with developments throughout Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia we are looking for an experienced professional to supervise on-site managers with maintenance, regulatory compliance and tenant relations issues.

Coverage area includes:

Easton, MD; Cambridge, MD; Hurlock, MD; Denton, MD.

Job Requirements:

(Not Limited To)

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in property management, including Section 8, LIHTC and USDA programs.
• Knowledge of occupancy rules, recertification of tenants in affordable housing programs are required.
• Achieve and maintain 95% occupancy in your region and ensure proper marketing of units is done to minimize vacancy
• Control expenses to stay within budget, without comprising SMC housing standards
• Must have experience hiring, training, coaching, supervising, and evaluating site staff to ensure business objectives are met.
• Have knowledge of court systems to ensure delinquent tenants are filed on and evicted timely.
• Collect and review bids from contractors for necessary repairs.
• Reviews all contract renewals, and prepares / submits budget increase recommendations
• Ensure proper marketing of units is done to minimize vacancy
• Prepare and submit all responses to regulatory agencies and investors for audits, site reviews etc.
• Submit timesheets as required for payroll
• Strong communication skills in writing and orally
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook
• Must have dependable transportation, a valid driver's license, and be comfortable commuting to different sites in the region.
