Legislative Affairs SpecialistThe Opportunity:

Provide support for a DoD client. Review and analyze congressional hearing transcripts and prepare and submit Questions for the Record (QFR) and Inserts for the Record (IFR). Monitor the status of defense legislation, pertinent hearings, markups, and floor actions. Prepare client staff for congressional hearings, and respond to congressional inquiries. Coordinate with appropriate government officials to obtain review and approval. Research and write background papers, talking points, and written and verbal statements, including providing legislative briefings to senior leadership.

You Have:

10+ years of experience in the legislative affairs field or with department-level planning or executionExperience with legislative and regulatory documentsKnowledge of the legislative and regulatory processActive TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph examBachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
