Job Description

Advocate Assistant Montgomery Disability Advocates represents people applying for Social Security disability benefits. We are a private office in the legal services field. Montgomery Disability manages medical records, community relations and faces a federal government bureaucracy. The office must manage information of a personal and medical nature, process it, and transmit it effectively. This requires a team that is tactful while simultaneously being persistent and driven. The Advocate Assistant role entails a mix of case management with public-facing, client-facing, and technical responsibilities. The office is looking for someone who can manage both people and processes. The Advocate Assistant 's responsibilities are: Coordination and Communication
  • Make calls to Social Security Administration (SSA) to follow up on cases.
  • Receive calls from clients, managing and directing them as needed.
  • Schedule appointments for clients and staff.
  • Make calls and send communications to government agencies and medical offices.
  • Maintain accurate information for clients, government agencies, medical offices and service providers.
  • Maintain and operate CRM system Supervising Case Processing
  • Monitor the status and progress of cases.
  • Continuously review case processing for quality control.
  • Monitor cases to ensure timely actions are taken by those responsible.
  • Maintain and track data on process efficiency, timekeeping and billable hours.
  • Manage medical records requests for cases.
  • Organize and manage digital and paper case files.
  • Optimize office processes. General Administration
  • Respond to office voicemails and emails
  • Maintain accurate notes and tasks on all cases
  • Organize and update case information
  • Fax and file documents
  • Manage, maintain, configure and troubleshoot office systems and devices, ensuring smooth operations. The minimum qualifications for this position are:
  • BA or BS degree
  • Bedside Manners
  • Strong computer literacy
