Job Description
Public Works is seeking an Information Specialist III to join their Engineering Division in Pike Lake (Duluth). Some responsibilities of the Information Specialist III, for the Engineering Division include: Routinely working and interacting with staff and the public by phone, email and in person. Accounts Payable/Receivable. Processing payroll for staff in two (2) separate bargaining units with different guidelines for each. New employee processing. Assisting current employees with questions. Maintaining accurate and efficient office filing systems. The salary range reflected above is the normal hiring range for 2026. The full salary range, including longevity pay, is $24.69

(Pass/Fail): Five (5) years full-time paid verifiable clerical experience; OR an equivalent combination or education and/or experience as determined by the Director of Human Resources. Demonstrated ability to operate personal computer-based systems. Proficiency, as defined by the Civil Service Commission, in operating word processing software. Ability to type from clear copy at a rate of 40 w.p.m./net.RATING SYSTEM
