Solve real housing challenges. This is not a desk-based management role. At Helix, Housing Program Managers are in the field—supporting staff, responding to real-time client needs, and helping people stay housed. Why people choose Helix Meaningful work supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability Opportunity to lead staff while staying connected to the work on the ground Community-based role with real impact—not just administrative oversight Culturally grounded environment serving Native American communities Collaborative team structure with strong internal partnerships What you'll actually be doing Supervise and support a team of housing case managers providing direct services Respond to escalated client situations, including behavioral concerns and housing crises Support recovery housing parters by promoting program compliance and landlord expectations Work as a team with a behavioral compliance worker and housing case manager to support over 25+ clients living in transitional housing Coordinate care across internal teams and external service providers Work directly with landlords to: Preserve existing housing placements Resolve tenancy issues Build and maintain strong relationships Identify new housing opportunities for clients And Support clients in transitioning to and maintaining permanent housing placements Collaborate with property management to address lease compliance and support struggling tenants Oversee service delivery to ensure quality, consistency, and client-centered care Monitor caseloads and staff performance, providing coaching and support Ensure program compliance, documentation, and reporting standards are met What makes this role different Most housing manager roles are either fully administrative, or fully client-facing. This role is both. You'll be: Leading staff Responding to real-time issues Working directly with landlords, neighbors, and housing systems Helping solve problems that don't fit into a policy manual This is a role for someone who can think on their feet, manage complexity, and take action. Who this role is a good fit for Experienced housing or social service professionals who are ready to lead Managers who are comfortable handling crisis situations and behavioral concerns People who can juggle staff supervision with direct problem-solving Individuals with strong relationship-building skills, especially with landlords, property owners, and partners People who can deescalate upset landlords, property owners, and neighbors. Professionals who are adaptable, organized, and solutions-focused Required experience and knowledge Experience in housing case management, homelessness services, or related fields Supervisory or leadership experience Ability to have direct conversations with clients and enforce landlord expectations Experience working with clients in group or shared housing settings Ability to collaborate effectively with property management and service providers Experience working with Justice Impacted individuals and their probation officers Strong understanding of: Housing Support (GRH) rental subsidies and case management County public assistance systems HMIS documentation and reporting Housing First and supportive housing models What to expect You'll be working with individuals experiencing housing instability, mental health, and substance use challenges This role involves responding to issues outside of standard business hours when needed No two days will look the same—this is a dynamic, fast-moving environment You'll be responsible for both staff leadership and real-time housing problem-solving Join early.
