Job Description

Denton HR Company is recruiting on behalf of A Place For You, a dynamic and engaging Executive Director to lead an organization that is dedicated to working with multiple stakeholders with the goal of breaking the cycle of homelessness. Job Summary The Executive Director will serve as the chief administrator, providing leadership and implementing policies and programs to carry out the work A Place For You. By serving six counties in East Central Minnesota, A Place For You and the Executive Director will work together with multiple stakeholders to help break the cycle of homelessness and poverty by stabilizing people in a safe environment, connecting them to solutions, and walking with them on their journey.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversees the daily administration of the organization by implementing policies, procedures, and programs. Hires, onboards, trains, and supervises staff in completing the work of the organization. Provides regular coaching and feedback to staff and volunteers. Drafts and implements performance standards; conducts performance reviews for senior leadership.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Reports to the Board of Directors, maintaining open communication and disclosure of the conditions, operations, and needs of the organization. Manages the grant writing process, including seeking out grants, writing grant proposals and complying with all requirements of the awards received. Demonstrates and promotes compassionate interactions and support of all individuals served by the organization. Drafts, presents, and recommends organizational policies and programs to the Board. Oversees preparation and regular analysis of the budget. Facilitates periodic audits and compliance activities for the organization. Supports and directs public relations activities to build and maintain relationships with other organizations and the public. Ensures the facility is maintained to local and state standards. Upholds all licensing requirements as required by local and state governments. Facilitates the fundraising and donation requirements with community stakeholders. Executes other duties as requested by the Board of Directors. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate the organization's mission and vision. Demonstrated ability to successfully seek out, apply for and secure grant funding. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with government agencies, community leaders, and the general public. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times, stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in related field required; Master's degree highly preferred. At least three to five years of business administration and experience related to the social services industry required with supervisory and leadership experience preferred.
Travel Requirements:
The Executive Director will travel using their personal vehicle for the purpose of continuing the mission of A Place For You. Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
