Job Summary The Leasing Specialist is responsible for fulfilling the occupancy requirements of the housing projects. The Leasing Specialist will determine eligibility for housing, process applications. The Leasing Specialist will be responsible for compliance with program regulations. The Leasing Specialist develops and maintains waiting lists for those projects that don't have a resident manager and confers with Property Manager and caretakers to determine apartment assignment. The Leasing Specialist will be responsible for managing the re-certification process for HUD, RD. The Leasing Specialist will be responsible in inputting all tenant data accurately into program software. What you will do Manage the Resident selection process by determining eligibility for housing and income verification. Determine monthly rental payments and makes all placements in compliance with Department of Housing and Urban Development Handbook 4350.3, Rural Development Handbook regulations, and Housing Tax Credit Program. Develop advertising for all projects within fair housing and EHO requirements, must have knowledge of MN state housing laws. Manage the housing processes from time of application through time of move out ensuring that we are in full compliance of HUD 4350.3, Rural Development and Housing Tax Credit Program. Initiates correspondence to residents, caretakers, and regulatory agencies providing required documentation and notices to all. What we're looking for ( Required Qualifications)
Education:
High school plus 2 years plus Certified Occupancy Specialist and/or pass Certification within six months of hire.
Experience:
