A Fiscal Director or Budget Director manages the budget and finance department of government agencies or cities. They manage the operations of the budget and finance department; including leading analysts and staff. They review and make recommendations on budget requests and options in terms of policy, programs and objectives for the agency or city while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and statutes. They are responsible for the accumulation of data to support the development of financial analysis and budgeting, including the preparation of quarterly, monthly and annual financial performance measures.

The Executive Director Finance has a direct reporting relationship with the Vice President of Finance and is responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial results for Mercy. This includes financial analysis, monitoring organizational performance, benchmarking functional/service line operations and managing the forecasting process. Also manages the day-to-day processes within the Finance department to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of all reports, including processes to monitor and improve internal controls. The Executive Director provides analysis and support to administration, develops analytical tools and reports for departments and interprets data for all levels of the Community's operations. The Executive Director has local oversight for patient access functions within the hospital setting, including the admitting functions and patient scheduling. Executive Director is responsible for recommending process improvement strategies and work simplification to ensure coordination and eliminate unnecessary or duplication of efforts within the areas of responsibility. Must be able to work well with other finance professionals, administrative leaders and Mercy Shared Services. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field from an accredited college or university.Experience:
Requires a minimum of five years accounting or financial management experience or a level of practical experience necessary to enable efficient achievement of job requirements with a minimum level of day-to-day supervision.Other skills and knowledge:
- Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups.
- Strong communication skills, ability to interact with departmental leaders.
- Computer literacy with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Knowledge of proper financial statement formats and disclosures required under GAAP.
- Ability to work with and preserve confidential information.
