Full-time, exempt, salaried leadership role.Scope of Role:
Manages operations within a community generating approximately $7.5 million in revenue.Key Responsibilities:
Provides direction, leadership, and supervision to Program Supervisors/Coordinators, Direct Care staff, and other assigned team members. Oversees program operations, ensures the delivery of quality services, and maintains compliance with applicable state and federal standards. Essential Job Functions To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below.Leadership and Supervision Personnel:
Provides leadership and direct supervision to Program Supervisors/Coordinators, Direct Care staff, and other assigned personnel. Partners with the regional support team, implements Sevita employee practices, and oversees area safety and workers' compensation processes. Reviews written warnings and approves involuntary terminations within the area. Hires Program Supervisors/Coordinators and Direct Care staff in consultation with the Regional Director and Talent Acquisition teams.Training:
Organizes and supports the implementation of orientation and training for assigned programs in partnership with training managers and other appropriate team members. Provides orientation, training, coaching, and guidance to Program Supervisors/Coordinators and Direct Care staff. Facilitates training as needed and periodically audits training records to ensure compliance with state and organizational requirements.Program Planning Program Management:
Oversees systems for implementing program plans and monitors the delivery of services and supports to ensure compliance with Sevita and regulatory standards. Ensures services are consistent, engaging, person-centered, and relevant to the needs of the individuals served.Staffing and Overtime:
Monitors scheduling, overtime dashboards, staffing levels, and employee utilization to ensure efficient coverage across area programs.Financial Management Financial Performance:
Responsible for the financial performance of the area business unit. Reviews financial statements, oversees purchasing, and understands and responds to key financial drivers. Interprets profit and loss statements with support from Finance and develops action plans to improve underperforming programs. Ensures billing compliance, accuracy, and appropriate documentation.Individuals' Funds Management:
Safeguards funds belonging to individuals served and ensures compliance with all applicable requirements. Verifies monthly financial ledgers for completeness and confirms that itemized receipts are maintained for purchases made on behalf of individuals served.Census Management Marketing:
Identifies collateral, social media, virtual tour, and other marketing needs within the area and escalates those needs to the Regional Director.Referrals:
Serves as the primary contact for individuals, families, guardians, and case managers throughout the referral process. Responds to inquiries and referrals promptly and professionally. Coordinates local events, community participation, and engagement with referral partners, including managed care organizations and state referral sources. Manages the intake referral checklist and referral pipeline for the assigned area. Reviews referrals to determine program fit and identifies and escalates potential barriers to the Regional Director.Census Performance:
Monitors census and referral dashboards, evaluates progress toward census targets, and analyzes trends involving admissions, discharges, and leave days.Growth and Development Strategy Growth Strategy:
Implements the area's core growth strategy, including census growth, periodic billing, and new service starts, to increase service volume.New Program Development:
Assists with planning and opening new programs, including identifying potential real estate and purchasing furnishings, supplies, and equipment. May also identify potential acquisition opportunities.Stakeholder Relations Program Stakeholders:
Develops and maintains productive relationships with case managers, referral agents, community partners, and funding sources.Government Relations:
Participates in building relationships with local legislators and government officials. Attends grassroots advocacy meetings, town halls, advocacy days, and other community events. Advocates on behalf of individuals served and Sevita when appropriate.Customer Service:
Implements strategies to build and maintain positive relationships with individuals, mentors, families, and guardians. Develops and implements satisfaction improvement plans as appropriate and consistently upholds Sevita's customer service standards.Compliance and Regulatory Management Quality:
Oversees the area's quality enhancement and implementation plan, ensuring alignment with Sevita standards, licensing requirements, and the needs of individuals served. Reviews area incident reports and quality trends.Incident Management:
Implements area incident management protocols, ensures timely incident reporting and corrective action, and assists with investigations as needed.Licensing and Compliance:
Maintains licensing and regulatory compliance for area services and supports. Ensures documentation is timely and accurate, oversees implementation of Sevita's compliance plan, and assists with correction orders and related compliance improvement plans.Health and Safety Management Health and Safety Programs:
Oversees the development and implementation of health and safety programs for individuals served and employees. Supervises area nursing staff when applicable.Environment:
Ensures area programs comply with Sevita and regulatory standards for clean, safe, and well-maintained living and working environments. Promotes pleasant, age-appropriate, and home-like residential settings and oversees area maintenance needs. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties and activities as required, including providing coverage or backfilling positions under their supervision when necessary. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly manages and supervises Program Supervisors/Coordinators, Direct Care staff, and other assigned personnel. Responsibilities include performance evaluations, scheduling oversight, orientation, training, coaching, and employee development. Makes or recommends decisions regarding employee transfers, promotions, compensation changes, disciplinary action, terminations, and similar employment matters. Addresses and resolves employee concerns within the scope of the position. Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the role successfully. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree and three to six years of related experience, including significant leadership or management experience within the human services industry. Master's degree in Human Services or other education and experience as required by the state. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Licensure as required by the state.
