POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for determining, formulating, and implementing strategies and policies to effectively and efficiently manage the ongoing operations of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV), HCV Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS), and HCV Homeownership programs, as well as evaluating, recommending, and overseeing new opportunities for various housing programs, including potential housing development activities. This individual works with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in providing leadership in planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating program systems. Duties and responsibilities of this position are performed with wide latitude for independent judgment and decision-making. The Director of Housing Programs has the authority to manage all activities of the Housing Department. The Director of Housing Programs represents the agency when working with funding sources. Federal regulations, North Carolina statutes, and agency policy limit the Director of Housing Programs.
EDUCATION/TRAINING
Baccalaureate degree or higher in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Human Services from an accredited college
Preferred:
MBA Real Estate development education/experience desirable
EXPERIENCE
Administering Federal Affordable Housing Programs preferred Working with low-income populations Working in a non-profit environment Supervisory experience Thank you for your interest in WNCSource!
