Role:
We're seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Director to help lead our Day Services program for adults with developmental disabilities. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact by fostering independence, inclusion, and personal growth in a supportive community setting. This role provides oversight to our Day Services staff, ensuring that all operations align with regulatory standards, participant Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), and agency quality benchmarks

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Ensure program environment is well maintained, organized, safe, welcoming and meets/exceeds agency expectations and standards Ensure new participant intakes are assigned to a setting with supports that meets their needs Ensure participant needs, to include medical/behavioral, are met and implemented Supervise assigned Manager (s)/Sr. Manager (s); provide leadership, guidance and training regarding strategies to manage staff issues, organizational management, program specific activities and operations Responsible for billing functions to be completed in a timely manner Ensure all staff time/attendance reporting is accurate and submitted timely Provide coverage for program management when Program Manager or designee is unavailable, as needed Ensure vehicles are in good condition and maintained as per agency, regulatory standards Participate in hiring, discipline, performance reviews and termination process of staff Meet regularly with the Director of Day Programs to provide information regarding assigned programs, staff, participants and ensures ongoing communication Attend all internal and external meetings and trainings as assigned by the Director Day Programs Perform any other responsibilities as needed Education / Work Experience /
Skills:
Master's degree (MA or MS) in Special Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, Psychology, or related field and at least three (3) years of administrative experience in department specific services to adults with developmental disabilities OR Bachelor's degree in one of the above listed disciplines and five (5) years of such experience
Valid NJ Driver's License Requirements:
Strong interpersonal communication skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Strong problem solving and analytical skills Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and follow-through Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
