Job Summary :
The Arc of Essex County is seeking an experienced, mission‑driven leader to oversee our Adult Day Services within the Traditional Programs Group (TPG). This role ensures that all program operations reflect our commitment to high-quality supports, regulatory compliance, and person-centered services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Director also collaborates closely with internal departments, supervises Assistant Directors, and supports the overall success of Adult Day Services. Reports to :

Essex County Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Develop and execute long- and short-term goals for the Traditional Programs Group (TPG). Participate in agency-wide strategic initiatives related to Adult Day Services. Ensure program operations align with each participant's ISP goals, agency policies, and regulatory requirements. Oversee systems that support participant medical and behavioral needs; collaborate with the Clinical Department as needed. Work closely with the Director of Day Services - Creative Program Group (CPG) to ensure high-quality implementation of CPG activities at TPG sites. Provide leadership in personnel management, including scheduling, supervision, performance reviews, and staff development. Ensure vehicles and facilities meet agency standards; partner with internal departments to address areas needing improvement. Supervise and guide Assistant Directors to ensure consistent implementation of agency standards and expectations. Provide timely and accurate reports to the Senior Director of Children and Adult Day Services. Perform any other duties as required or assigned.
Education & Work Experience :
Master's degree in Special Education or related field and at least 5 years of administrative experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities, OR Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field and at least 7 years of relevant administrative experience. Demonstrated success in leading and managing teams or departments.
Skills & Requirements :
Excellent communication skills, including responding to inquiries, writing reports/proposals, and presenting to leadership and community groups. Strong reasoning and problem‑solving abilities.
