FINANCE DIRECTOR
Finance & Insurance Leadership A confidential automotive dealership is seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead and develop its Finance & Insurance department. This leader will help shape a premium, transparent F&I experience while building a high-performing team. The Finance Director will oversee the department's daily operations, support deal flow from the sales floor through delivery, and work closely with dealership leadership to improve performance, compliance, and guest satisfaction. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop the F&I team, setting clear performance expectations and supporting each manager's growth. Oversee finance and lease transactions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with dealership, lender, state, and federal requirements. Build strong relationships with lending institutions and finance/product partners. Review deal structure, funding, product presentation, contracts, and documentation to help ensure deals are complete and funded promptly. Monitor key performance measures, including F&I gross profit, product penetration, finance and lease performance, chargebacks, funding time, and guest satisfaction. Help the team present protection products in a clear, relevant, and customer-focused way. Partner with sales leadership to improve handoffs, reduce delivery delays, and provide a smooth experience from vehicle selection through delivery. Maintain current knowledge of lender programs, financing offerings, product options, and regulatory requirements. Identify process improvements and address customer concerns professionally and promptly. What You Bring Proven experience in automotive finance and insurance, including prior dealership F&I leadership or management experience. Strong knowledge of retail automotive financing, leasing, lender programs, deal structuring, and contract documentation. A record of developing teams and improving department performance. Sound judgment, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to ethical, compliant business practices. Clear communication and the ability to build trust with guests, colleagues, lenders, and business partners. Comfort using dealership and F&I systems and reviewing performance reports. Luxury-brand automotive experience is preferred. Compensation $185,000-$275,000 annual earning potential , consisting of base salary plus performance-based incentive compensation. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and individual and departmental performance.
