Typing Full Job Description Overview:
The Assistant Director will oversee the day-to-day functions and operations of the WorkGuide vocational program including staff supervision, program auditing/billing, case assessment and assignment. This position will carry a partial caseload as needed and oversee various components of WorkGuide such as, Intake/Enrollment, Billing/Reporting, Employment Network/Ticket to Work program, Employment Services, Transitional Services, Potentially Eligible Program, etc. Assists in the development of new vocational services and community outreach. Ensures that all vocational programs work together to provide a seamless continuum of vocational opportunities for adults, youth, and students with disabilities. Must be able to work flexible hours, have a reliable transportation vehicle to perform job duties, and have a clean driving record that meets Agency's "Clean Driving Record Policy". Responsibilities:
Respects and maintains customer confidentiality. Demonstrates a positive and caring attitude towards all customers and staff. Ensures program compliance with regulations and staff training requirements of all oversight agencies. Assists with new vocational program development in accordance with DePaul's goals to broaden our scope of Vocational Services. Provide leadership and evaluation of vocational programs throughout DePaul to ensure the continuity of services. Interface with
ACCES-VR
participants, employers, families, school personnel, and professional, medical and psychiatric personnel. Will carry a partial caseload as needed. Responsible for program reporting and billing. Responsible for providing supervision and training of assigned WorkGuide staff. Cross trained to be able to provide coverage for all management responsibilities. Develop, implement, and oversee services specific to contracts through ACCES-VR, OMH, SSA, and other relevant funding streams. Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or requested by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Services. Minimum of five (5) years of human services-related work experience. 2 years of experience working in an
ACCES-VR
funded program preferred. Supervisory experience necessary. Clean NYS driving record as outlined in DePaul's personnel policy.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods. Must be able to lift to 20 lbs, communicate effectively, and perform basic office tasks such as typing, filing, and operating standard office equipment.
