Public Works Worker

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Public Works Worker to support the maintenance and operation of municipal infrastructure. This role involves performing a variety of manual tasks related to public facilities, roads, parks, and utilities. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of community assets, working both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on public infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, parks, and public buildings. Operate various tools and equipment necessary for construction, repair, and maintenance activities. Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report findings accordingly. Support snow removal, landscaping, trash collection, and other community service functions as required. Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe following established safety protocols. Respond promptly to public inquiries or service requests related to municipal facilities or infrastructure. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant technical training or certifications are a plus. Ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions and lift heavy objects as needed. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred; ability to operate municipal vehicles is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Commitment to safety procedures and community service standards.
