DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role oversees major fiscal operations that support daily and long-term work of our Children & Youth Services agency including foster care, temporary cash assistance for needy families, Juvenile Probation, and more. It includes leadership, fiscal planning, reporting, and analysis. As a County Fiscal Officer 2, you will perform the following duties:
Staff Supervision:
Guide, monitor, and train agency fiscal staff in daily tasks and special projects
Budget Development:
Review expenditures, analyze changes, and project estimated costs to create the agency's state, county, and needs-based plan budgets
Report Preparation:
Oversee and participate in the completion of mandated federal and state reports for revenues, expenditures, and reimbursements from multiple funding streams
Audit Preparation:
Assist with preparations for and participate in required audits
Grant Management:
Oversee all grants obtained by the agency, develop reports, and ensure compliance with the specific conditions of each grant
Fiscal Guidance:
Provide direction for the review of applications for foster care funding and to professional staff for the completion of mandated financial forms
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a County Fiscal Officer 1; or Two years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related bachelor's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or Four years of accounting and/or budgetary experience and a business-related associate's degree that includes six college credits in accounting; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes or is supplemented by six college credits in accounting.

Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Cambria County. If no eligible candidates who live within Cambria County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
