Executive Director Vadnais Heights Economic Development Corporation (VHEDC) Help to lead the economic development of Vadnais Heights The Vadnais Heights Economic Development Corporation (VHEDC) is seeking an experienced and relationship-focused Executive Director to lead our organization and support a thriving local business community. This contract leadership position offers the opportunity to work directly with business leaders, investors, community partners, and local government while advancing economic development initiatives that strengthen the Vadnais Heights area.
Compensation:
$55,000-$60,000 annually
Schedule:
Approximately 30 hours per week, with flexibility based on meetings, events, and organizational needs. What You'll Do Execute VHEDC's strategic priorities and initiatives. Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors and support board and committee activities. Build and maintain relationships with businesses, investors, community organizations, and government partners. Recruit and engage members and investors. Coordinate networking events, educational programs, and annual meetings. Assist with budgeting, fundraising, sponsorships, and financial oversight. Oversee marketing efforts including newsletters, website content, social media, and community communications. Serve as the primary ambassador for VHEDC within the community. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Economic Development, Public Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Five or more years of experience in nonprofit leadership, chamber of commerce, economic development, community development, or a related field preferred. Experience working with boards of directors, community stakeholders, and public-private partnerships is highly desirable.
