The City Manager is the Chief Executive Officer of the City. Responsible to the City Commission for the proper administration of city affairs as assigned by the charter, ordinances or directives. Eastland is a full-service Home Rule City, with five Commissioners, a population of 4,000 and a staff of 41 full-time employees.

A Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) in Public Administration, Business Administration or related field.
Experience:
5 years of progressive responsibilities in local government, including supervision and project management. The ideal candidate should have experience in Municipal Finances, Planning and Development, Budgeting and a familiarity with all aspects of local government including Fire, Police, Parks, Water and Sewer Utilities and Community Development. A working knowledge of project management and grant project development is highly desirable. Applicant must understand the meaning of Customer Service, integrity and the value of getting along with people. Applicant must have a valid state driver's license and pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
