The Opportunity Voice of Hope is seeking a mission-driven Assistant Director of Finance to join our leadership team. This is a new position created to strengthen the financial infrastructure of a growing nonprofit with multiple active grant funding streams. This role is ideal for a nonprofit finance professional who thrives on bringing order and clarity to complex financial environments, takes pride in meticulous grant compliance, and wants their work to directly fuel an organization changing lives in West Texas. What You'll Do Manage all accounting operations: accounts payable/receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and general ledger Develop and monitor the annual organizational budget; provide monthly budget-to-actual reports to the CEO and Board of Directors Oversee all grant financial management, including budget development, drawdown requests, financial reporting to funders, and compliance with VOCA, OVW, and other applicable funding streams Maintain audit-ready financial records and lead the annual audit process with external auditors Prepare and submit financial reports to federal, state, and private funders on time and in full Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls Collaborate with program staff on grant budget development, cost allocation, and post-award compliance Serve as financial liaison to the Board of Directors and Finance Committee Manage cash flow, investment accounts, and organizational reserves Stay current on 2 CFR Part 200 / Uniform Guidance and nonprofit
