Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advocate Supervisor to join our team in Keyser, WV. This role provides professional staff support to CASA Advocates, ensuring that children appointed to the Mineral County CASA program receive sound and stable advocacy and timely permanency planning. The Advocate Supervisor is responsible for advocate management, coordination of cases, and works cases along side advocates. Responsibilities Complete CASA Advocate training w/ Executive Director Assist in recruitment, screening, interviewing, and training new advocates Directly work cases as needed Review new cases and assign appropriate advocates in consultation w/Executive Director Prepare and distribute case assignment documentation and correspondence Help develop initial case plans and ongoing advocacy strategies Review and distribute advocate court reports to the Executive Director for final approval Maintain case files in the office and within Optima Attend court hearings when coverage is necessary for advocates and track all court/MDT dates Provide guidance and consultation to advocates as needed Assist advocates and office staff in completing court reports Participate in advocate evaluations as assigned by the Executive Director Oversee assigned advocates and assist w/ identified needs Attend staff meetings and assist in program evaluations Attend in-service trainings and assist with coordination when requested Assist with advocate appreciation events and socials Provide office coverage as assigned by Executive Director Complete monthly reports, agendas, and timesheets Ensure portion of grant reports assigned are turned into Executive Director on time Attend conferences, seminars, and meetings as requested by the Executive Director Participate in performance evaluations for this position as directed by the Executive Director Be an asset to existing partnerships and teams Mineral County CASA is part of, including but not limited to; Partners in Prevention, GMFSC, etc. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a social service-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Demonstrated ability to communicate with, supervise, and empower advocates to be effective in their roles; prior experience working with staff/volunteers preferred Ability to work collaboratively with individuals of diverse backgrounds and communication styles Knowledge and understanding of family dynamics in crisis situations, including child abuse and neglect, preferred Ability to be flexible to the ever changing world of non-profit Strong in self and ability to ask or help, guidance, and support Self-driven and takes direction well Compassionate and dedicated Commitment to goals and mission of the Mineral County CASA program Accountability The Advocate Supervisor reports directly to the Executive Director How to Apply Interested candidate should submit a resume and cover letter to the Mineral County CASA Executive Director at mincocasa@hotmail.com.
