Job Description

Job Overview The Tyler County Development Authority, Inc., (TCDA) is a public nonprofit 501©4 corporation. The lead economic and community development organization for Tyler County, WV, the TCDA is governed by a board of directors appointed by the Tyler County Commission and authorized by WV State Code. The TCDA's mission is the enhancement of the economic opportunity available to the citizens of Tyler County through increased private and public investment, as well as business retention. The successful applicant will be expected to function independently of daily supervision and will set the tone and agenda of the organization, subject to input and approval by the TCDA board of directors. Responsibilities Provide strategic direction and leadership to all organizational programs, ensuring alignment with mission and community needs. Manage and foster relationships with local industries, government funding sources, regional and state development organizations, educational institutions and workforce development organizations Oversee organizational budgeting, financial planning, grant procurement and resource allocation to sustain operational priorities and efficiency. Ensure compliance with all federal and state grant requirements. Manage all TCDA assets, including leased and fee for service properties. Represent the TCDA on regional and local boards, authorities and advisory councils. Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in public administration, business management, marketing, or a related field. Experience in economic and community development activities at the state or local level. Familiarity with public support services for business and industry. Basic understanding of financial management, financial reporting and record keeping. National certification through the Economic Development Institute (CEDC) or Community Development Institute (PCED) is a plus. Willingness to pursue such certification(s) required. Skill in written and oral communication is vital.

From $50,000.00 per year
