Job Description

Company Overview Daewon America is a growing manufacturing company specializing in automotive suspension components and precision springs. Based in Opelika, the company produces suspension bars, coils, and related automotive parts for major vehicle manufacturers. Position Summary The Purchasing Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily purchasing operations, supplier coordination, and cost control. This role ensures timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for production and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Manage purchasing activities for raw materials, supplies, and equipment Develop and maintain relationships with domestic and international suppliers Request and compare quotations to ensure cost competitiveness Issue purchase orders and monitor order status, delivery schedules, and accuracy Coordinate with production, warehouse, and accounting teams regarding material requirements Track inventory levels and assist with demand planning Resolve supplier issues such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns Maintain purchasing records and documentation in the system Support cost-reduction initiatives and continuous improvement efforts Ensure compliance with company policies and purchasing procedures Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred Strong negotiation and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Bilingual in Korean and English preferred (not required but a plus) Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health insurance, paid time off, and other company benefits How to Apply Please submit your resume through Indeed.
