Drive Operations. Strengthen Customer Service. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Purchasing & SOM Manager to support and lead purchasing, supply chain, and Sales Order Management operations. This role is ideal for a strong leader who can manage multiple priorities, solve complex supply chain challenges, develop teams, and ensure accurate and timely customer order processing. Key Responsibilities Oversee purchasing activities, including purchase orders, supplier escalations, expediting, repairs, and work orders. Review purchase requisitions and MRP requirements to ensure accurate and timely procurement. Source alternative suppliers, negotiate pricing, and support cost reduction initiatives. Supervise, train, coach, and develop Buyers and SOM Representatives. Support hiring, performance management, scheduling, timecard approvals, onboarding, and training. Monitor sales orders, shipments, deliveries, backlog, customer pricing, and on-time delivery metrics. Prepare customer quotations and sales orders while resolving order status and customer issues. Partner with Sales, Quality, IT, Logistics, Site Leads, customers, and suppliers. Develop and improve departmental procedures, policies, and training programs. Maintain compliance with all safety and company policies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field 8+ years of related experience , preferably in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing. 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience. Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, and/or order management. Strong ERP/CRM and Microsoft Office skills, including Excel. Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong customer service and relationship management abilities.
