Purchasing Assistant
  • $24•26/hr•Charlotte, NC The Role The Purchasing Assistant supports daily procurement and inventory operations.
This position tracks purchase orders, manages supplier relationships, processes returns, orders facility supplies, and assists sales personnel with pricing and freight logistics to keep supply chain workflows. #mon What You Will Do Track purchase orders, contact suppliers for lead times, log updates, and inform sales staff of delays or shipping details. Assist with entering purchase orders, emailing suppliers, verifying order acknowledgments, and correcting pricing errors. Order shop, warehouse, vehicle maintenance, and propane supplies as needed while maintaining the stock max book. Process Returned Goods Authorizations (RGAs) for defective or incorrect products and manage freight damage claims. Request product pricing and freight rate quotes from suppliers to assist sales personnel. Organize and maintain purchase order files, attaching acknowledgments, receiving reports, and related correspondence. Assist with inventory control adjustments and serve as secondary backup for incoming calls and order processing. What You Will Bring Direct experience in purchasing, order expediting, and processing returned goods. 2+ years in purchasing, logistics or inventory management. HS or GED required, Associates Degree preferred. Computer proficiency, including web-based shipment tracking and data entry. Organization, attention to detail, efficiency, and multitasking under deadlines Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $24.00
