Job Description

The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for reviewing incoming work orders and tickets, verifying inventory availability, and ensuring job requirements are accurate and complete before being routed for material sourcing and procurement. This role serves as a key support partner to the Purchasing Coordinator by helping maintain organized, accurate, and efficient purchasing processes. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working across multiple departments to keep projects moving smoothly and on schedule.

Work Order Review & Verification Inventory Tracking & Recordkeeping Cross-Department Coordination Shipment & Purchase Order Matching
QUALIFICATIONS
Required High school diploma or equivalent. High degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to read and interpret work orders, tickets, inventory records, and related documentation. Basic proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, and inventory or ticketing software. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and prioritize competing tasks. Preferred Prior experience in purchasing, inventory control, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or clerical support roles. Familiarity with inventory management systems and purchasing processes. Experience matching purchase orders, receipts, and shipment documentation. Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment. Candidates without direct purchasing experience are encouraged to apply; on-the-job training will be provided.
