Title:
Purchasing Assistant Hours:
Monday through Friday 7:00 A.M. - 3:30 P.M. Role and Responsibilities The position will serve as an assistant to the Senior Buyer and requires a high level of confidentiality. The following is a general list of duties but may not be an all-inclusive list.
Duties:
Enter purchase orders.
Generate and distribute purchase orders and debit memos as directed.
Maintain all purchasing files.
Print open purchase order reports and other reports as required.
Process invoices for payment on receipt of documentation after determining correctness of invoice as the quantity received and price charged.
Contact vendors to remedy any invoice problems.
Maintain purchasing office & medical supplies.
Fill first aid cabinets through the plant with supplies.
Obtain updates on vendor delivery schedules and follow up on shipping issues.
Tabulate reports on the status of open purchase orders and vendor performance related topics.
Assist with year-end inventory.
Assist and perform back-up duties to the Senior Buyer and Inventory Control Specialist. Qualifications and Education Requirements High School Diploma or
GED 1 - 2
years clerical experience in purchasing/inventory. Citizen of the United States Preferred Skills Proficient in Excel; able to create spreadsheets, import and export data, etc. Word Infor/SyteLine Clerical experience. Inventory experience. Outlook Excellent communication skills. Positive attitude. Additional Notes This position requires someone who is highly motivated to work with little supervision.
