Job Description
The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for assisting with purchasing regular and specialty items, inventory control, and distribution with support necessary to ensure proper inventory level. The following is a more detailed listing of the responsibilities;
- Enter purchase orders
- Purchase order maintenance i.e. revisions
- Enter stock transfers to branches, fax branches and receive
- New item entry/item maintenance
- Purchase order On-Water Shipment
- Purchase order Shipment Receiving
- Liaison with warehouse purchasing of labels and maintaining stock
- Participate in physical year-end inventory i.e. data entry and proofing
- Filing, etc.
- Maintain factory request log
- Adhere to all Daido policies and procedures General Company Guidelines
- Ensure that safety standards are identified, communicated, and achieved
- Ensure that environmental standards are identified, communicated, and enforced within the department.
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the department.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
