Job Description

Hatch Stamping Company is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to fill the position of Tool Crib Attendant. This opportunity is excellent for those who thrive under pressure and not only have a passion for Quality but Customer Service. The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing machine tools, materials, and equipment in an automotive stamping environment. Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures is needed. The Tool Crib Attendant will need to be extremely responsible and reliable, with a proven ability to prioritize and manage time. Responsibilities (This section is not inclusive. Other duties maybe assigned as necessary).
  • Issues tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned.
  • Analyzes stock positions on all tools to ensure proper inventory levels to support production.
  • Locates lost or misplaced tools and equipment.
  • Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment.
  • Understands and manages a monthly budget for multiple facilities.
  • Completes month-end reconciliations of purchase orders.
  • Maintains master tooling systems.
  • Inspects and measures tools for defects and wear
  • Inspect new incoming tools to ensure they match the purchase order.
  • Identify and label stock using barcoding.
  • Generating purchase orders to order materials, supplies and equipment.
  • Establish minimum and maximums ordering quantities. Qualifications and Skills
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid Drivers' License
  • Two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be self-directed and can prioritize and manage time.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and follow-through
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds of weight
