Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our dynamic procurement team. In this role, you will support the sourcing, purchasing, and inventory management processes essential for maintaining seamless supply chain operations. Your expertise in procurement systems and vendor communication will help optimize costs, ensure timely delivery of materials, and strengthen supplier relationships. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment where your organizational skills and technical knowledge will drive operational excellence. Responsibilities
- Assist the Purchasing Manager with daily purchasing activities.
- Create and process purchase orders.
- Track orders and follow up with vendors on deliveries and backorders.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and order status.
- Coordinate with production, warehouse, and other departments to ensure material needs are met.
- Verify packing slips and assist with invoice discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and report items needing replenishment.
- Update spreadsheets, reports, and purchasing databases.
- Perform general administrative duties to support the Purchasing Department.
- Complete other duties as assigned. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous purchasing, administrative, inventory, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
