Our vision is to add 30-35 branches a year, while staying true to our Company values. Summary The Buyer II plays a key role in managing inventory levels and supporting centralized branch operations. This position is responsible for maintaining product availability, optimizing inventory performance, and building strong vendor relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Essential Job Functions Execute purchasing strategies in alignment with company policies and inventory goals Manage purchase orders, including order placement, tracking, and expediting shipments Maintain accurate product and pricing data Monitor inventory levels, reorder points, and safety stock to maintain high fill rates Review stock reports and adjust purchasing decisions as needed Resolve issues related to shipping errors, damaged goods, and pricing discrepancies Manage returns, including obsolete and slow-moving inventory Communicate product, pricing, and vendor updates to internal teams Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors Work with Purchasing Manager to support negotiations on pricing, terms, and supply agreements Collaborate effectively with internal teams to support operational goals Education/Experience 2+ years of purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain experience (preferred) High school diploma, and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree preferred Competencies Electrical product and applications buying knowledge preferred. PC skills to include excel, access, keyboarding and word processing. Accuracy, communication, management and relationship skills, telephone skills, and negotiation skills. Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
