Operations A successful candidate will be a motivated and adaptable leader who can effectively collaborate across multiple business functions. They will demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills while contributing to operational efficiency, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is comfortable learning new processes, working with diverse teams, and applying leadership experience to solve business challenges in a dynamic environment.Purpose of Position:
This SkillBridge opportunity offers transitioning service members exposure to business operations, leadership practices, and organizational processes. Participants will gain experience across multiple functional areas while developing the skills needed to support operational efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement in a corporate environment.Essential Functions:

Understand and manage workflows across sales, yard, fleet, and facility operations.Fleet & Safety Management:
Implement and monitor safety protocols, DOT compliance, and driver performance standards.Process Improvement:
Review, document, and standardize operational processes to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.Purchasing & Inventory Control:
Manage procurement procedures, vendor relationships, and inventory accuracy through preparation and execution.Payroll & Reporting:
Ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with labor regulations, while maintaining clear reporting standards.Facility Maintenance:
Oversee maintenance schedules, safety measures, and facility upkeep.Leadership & Communication:
Collaborate with managers, subject matter experts, and executive leadership to align operations with company goals. Analyze operational workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and risk reduction. Participate in meetings, training activities, and mentorship opportunities to develop business and leadership knowledge. Maintain professional communication and working relationships with employees, vendors, and leadership teams.Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
(with or without reasonable accommodation). Knowledge of business operations, logistics, fleet management, inventory control, and administrative processes. Understanding of workplace safety standards, regulatory compliance requirements, and risk management principles. Ability to analyze operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency. Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with employees, vendors, customers, and leadership. Ability to collaborate across departments and work effectively with diverse teams. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to collect, organize, and interpret data for reporting and operational decision-making. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn new systems, processes, and business practices. Education and Experience High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) required Must be active-duty military in good standing with the DoW and within the last 180 days of service contract. Must receive commanding officer approval to participate Must meet all requirements of the SkillBridge program Minimum two (2) years in a leadership role is preferred Valid driver's license, clear driving record, and ability to driver for business purposes as needed Physical Demands- Strength (lift, carry, push, and pull), maximum lift - 100 lbs.; frequently lift/carry - up to 50 lbs. Ability to sit or stand for up to four hours at a time
