Description The Athletics Event Operations Coordinator supports the daily operations of athletic events and assists with planning and managing game days to ensure a great experience for student-athletes, coaches, officials and fans. This role also helps coordinate special events, while providing excellent customer service to coaches, campus departments, and outside organizations. Evening and weekend work will be required as needed. Job Duties Assist with execution of game day management plans to ensure a positive game day experience for all student-athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators Assist with coordination of outside events to include Samford University graduations and high school graduations. Provides excellent customer service to athletic department coaches and staff, campus departments and organizations, and external organizations to encourage continual and regular use of all athletics facilities Assist Director of Event Operations with budget preparation for the unit Coordinate with other departments as necessary to prepare facilities for the various events Position requires working evenings, and weekends, as well as other related duties as assigned by supervisors Qualifications Bachelor's degree with previous experience working in an Athletics related field. A master's degree may substitute for experience. Working Knowledge of NCAA and Southern Conference rules and regulations with a personal commitment to operate within those rules is required. Ability to lift a minimum of 15 pounds. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working within an intercollegiate athletic program in the areas of facilities or operations preferred.
