As a New Patient Scheduler in our busy, privately owned oncology practice, you will play a critical role in connecting patients with timely, compassionate care. We are looking for an energetic professional with outstanding communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience from the very first interaction. Highlands Oncology began in 1996 with three physicians and a desire to change the face of oncology care in our community. Dr. Malcolm Hayward, Dr. Dan Bradford, and Dr. Thad Beck knew that patients do better at home, in the community where they live and work, and where their support system is already in place. In furthering that goal, Highlands has grown with the region from a single location 26 years ago, to 6 locations in Northwest and Northcentral Arkansas today employing more than 800 diverse team members. As Northwest Arkansas continues to grow, so must the services and providers available in the region. Highlands Oncology is committed to remaining on the cutting edge to ensure our community has access to the very best cancer care. What we have is something quite unique right here in our own backyard with a caring multidisciplinary team focused on treating patients like family.
Hematology referrals must be called by scheduler within 5 days of receipt of referral. Oncology patients must be called by scheduler within 3 days of receipt of referral.
Schedule new patient appointment in appropriate timeframe.
Hematology within 10 business days. Oncology within 5 business days.
Requests and scan records into EMR which are pertinent for specific diagnosis.
Help answer and triage calls. Calls received before 3PM must be returned the same business day.
Follow established process and procedures in New Patient department to ensure highest quality of patient care and customer service. Exercise judgment and independent decision-making skills regarding patient appointments.
Maintain proper documentation of patient progress in EMR.Provides and maintains patient confidentiality.

Job Summary:
Coordinate and schedule new patient referrals for hematology, medical oncology, and outside infusion for Highlands Oncology. Job Duties /Responsibilities:
Promptly and accurately triage new patient referrals.Hematology referrals must be called by scheduler within 5 days of receipt of referral. Oncology patients must be called by scheduler within 3 days of receipt of referral.

labs, pathology, scans, insurance information and other diagnostic procedures.Help answer and triage calls. Calls received before 3PM must be returned the same business day.
