Job Description

Hexcel is currently seeking a Production Scheduler for our Casa Grande, AZ, USA location. The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing production schedules to ensure continuous workflow and appropriate delivery of materials while optimizing material and capacity utilization to satisfy customer requirements. They must work in association with production teams and production control planners to coordinate schedules based on requirements, machine capacity, and labor. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: Create, approve, and release manufacturing orders to provide direct scheduling support for manufacturing operations. Coordinate schedule requirements with Production personnel and other support groups such as engineering, purchasing and quality assurance. Track all open orders to ensure completion to schedule and to identify and expedite manufacturing shortages. Provide timely, accurate and complete feedback to Production Control team, production, customer service, interplant customers, quality, shipping, engineering, and purchasing as required. Monitor and maintain MRP data integrity to ensure accurate on-hand balances, material availability and timely closing of orders. Initiate and reconcile bin count requirements. Responsible for achieving department inventory goals. Evaluate capacity versus projected demands. Identify problems areas and recommend short and intermediate range solutions. Recommend process improvements and participate in implementation. Use information and material availability data, for making shipping commitments. Ensure that products meet customer specifications and expectations. Participate in QRB team review and disposition of discrepant material. Complete customer service lead time requests. Work in a team environment to reach consensus decisions within the guidelines and boundaries established by the company and maintain constructive relationships with co-workers. Represent production control team in assigned meetings. Support and engage in the Environmental Management System (EMS), ISO 14001 to ensure environmental compliance, continual improvement, and cost containment. Maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment. Actively support and interact in monthly and/or plant refresher safety training using available resources and prescribed goals to determine and subsequently help eliminate actual and potential safety issues, unsafe acts and/or conditions to preclude accidents, to keep Hexcel employees safe, and to achieve the Department/Plant and/or Corporate Safety goals and objectives. Comply with Hexcel policies, procedures, and Code of Business Conduct. Operate in compliance with the Hexcel Casa Grande Quality System and Quality Policy.
