Job Description

Nonprofit Operations Specialist Part-time | $30 per hour | Flexible schedule We are seeking an experienced Nonprofit Operations Specialist who can step into active projects, quickly understand what needs to be done, and move the work forward independently. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands how nonprofit organizations operate and is comfortable taking ownership of projects with limited supervision. The right person will be organized, resourceful, responsive, and able to manage multiple priorities without needing extensive direction. Responsibilities Take ownership of assigned operational and administrative projects from start to completion Develop, document, and improve internal processes and procedures Organize files, records, templates, and organizational documentation Support nonprofit compliance, reporting, and recordkeeping Coordinate project timelines, follow-ups, and outstanding action items Conduct research and prepare clear recommendations Work within existing technology platforms and learn new systems quickly Identify missing information, anticipate next steps, and resolve routine issues independently Provide reliable updates on progress, deadlines, and potential concerns Required Qualifications Professional experience working for or directly supporting nonprofit organizations Strong understanding of nonprofit operations, systems, and administrative requirements Demonstrated ability to step into existing projects and work independently Excellent organizational, written communication, and project-management skills Strong attention to detail and follow-through Sound judgment and the ability to determine appropriate next steps without constant oversight Comfort working across multiple software platforms and learning new technology Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive organizational information appropriately Compensation This position pays $30 per hour . Hours will be assigned based on current projects and organizational needs.
