Job Description
The front office coordinator greets, assists, and consults patients individually regarding their appointments and payments. Pleasant attitude and customer service skills are used to provide patients of Peak Surgery Centers with an optimal experience. Has a strong, confident personality, and a drive to maintain organization in a busy environment. Responsibilities Manage administrative duties, maintain records patients in and out HIPAA, protect patient privacy and secure personal information Takes copays and other patient payments and balances batch daily Schedules appointments, verifies information, communicates with provider practice office Ensures all calls are taken care of in a timely manner Obtains in office referrals for appointments Verifies insurance and authorizations for testing, communicates with provider practice office Answers questions and gives excellent customer service EMR scanning and indexing procedures Maintain a clean and tranquil environment Coordinates tasks with clinical staff Additional duties as assigned Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent HIPAA knowledge Experience with EHR Computer skills required Experience working in a medical office environment preferred Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills Attention to detail and ability to multi-task Familiar with basic office equipment (i.e., fax, copier, scanner) Some travel required between facilities
