Job Description
We are a premier and comprehensive eyecare and surgery center with offices located in Chula Vista, National City, El Cajon and El Centro. Our Clinics are beautifully positioned with all new and modern equipment. Our group of Physicians are highly educated and skilled in Ophthalmology - we are blessed to be able to offer such high-quality ophthalmology services to patients in need. We have an immediate need for an Arabic/Chaldean Surgery Scheduler to join our team. The position will work on-site, with day shift hours M-F. You must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a sales environment. Previous proven sales experience is essential for this role.
The Opportunity:
As a Surgery Scheduler, the individual will understand and perform duties specific to meeting goals and objectives as set by the CEO. The main focus of this role is to: Listen to and assess the needs of each patient. Educate patients regarding surgical options. Advise patients regarding their insurance coverage and available payment plans. Quickly provide the appropriate solution to meet the patient's needs. Collect detailed patient information and coordinate with ambulatory surgical center. Will work with a variety of machinery, including but not limited to OCT, Visual Field, Corneal Topography, IOL Master, Fundus Photos, A scan, Pachymetry Goldmann Applanation, Auto-Refract, NCT BAT Etc.- Ability to Refract pre and post op cataract surgery
- Ability to read and input prescriptions into a phoropter
- Comply with all HIPPA regulations in all interactions with patient information
- Ability to do a basic Visual Acuity (VA) assessment.
- Collect and document the patient's chief complaint.
- Verify the patient's ocular and medical health history.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for maintaining extensive current knowledge of the surgical procedures, pricing and policies and use this information to provide the highest level of service to our patients. Properly document and use key information in call tracking/call management systems. Accurately complete all necessary paperwork to process orders. Represent the company in a professional manner and as a knowledgeable consultant to the patient. Work under the direction of the manager and department lead in accordance with department and/or company timelines, priorities, programs, objectives. Other duties as assigned.Requirements:
At least 1 year experience in sales, preferably inside sales. Experience in medical field highly desired. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual in English and Arabic/Chaldean required. Good computer skills and typing speed. Confident, self-motivated, flexible with strong sales and closing skills. Excellent work ethics.Job Type:
