Job Summary:

The Supplier Operations Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining an efficient, reliable supply base that supports the company's production and operational needs. This role manages supplier selection, evaluation, and performance monitoring, while maintaining the company's Approved Supplier List (ASL) in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will leverage strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support supplier operations, mitigate risk, and ensure procurement activities meet program requirements for schedule, cost, and quality. This position is fully onsite at our office in El Segundo, California. This position's internal job title is Supplier Base Management Specialist. Our team is hiring for a level 2.

Position Responsibilities:

Supplier Management Conduct comprehensive evaluations of potential suppliers to determine eligibility for inclusion on the Approved Supplier List (ASL ) Perform supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements, including ITAR, NIST, and SAM.go v Maintain and manage the Approved Supplier List in accordance with company policies and procedure s Regularly review and update supplier records, including contact information, certifications, and performance metric s Procurement & Program Support Partner with internal stakeholders to support source selection and procurement activities that meet program requirements related to schedule, cost, and qualit y Identify and develop secondary or alternate suppliers as necessary to mitigate supply risk s Assist in the development and execution of supplier project plans to support program milestones and financial goal s Proactively communicate order status and relevant updates to internal customer s Supplier Performance & Risk Management Collect and analyze supplier performance data for evaluations and continuous improvement initiative s Identify, communicate, and escalate potential supplier risks or operational issue s Analyze data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for supply chain improvement s Collaboration & Training Work cross-functionally with procurement, supplier quality, engineering, and other departments to align supplier management strategies with company objective s Mentor and educate internal teams on supply chain best practices through formal training sessions, one-on-one coaching, or collaborative workshop s Communicate supplier policies and drive compliance across stakeholder group s Compliance & Systems Management Organize and maintain supplier and part trade compliance data within ERP systems, including: HTS code s NAICS code s Business size classification s Ensure data accuracy and compliance with applicable trade regulation s

Level 2: $38.84/hr - $57.12/hr Millennium is DDTC-registered, ITAR-compliant Company. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Applicants MUST be U.S. citizens and eligible for a security clearance. Additionally, applicants must be willing to apply for and maintain a security clearance.
