$25-30 About Highridge Dental Highridge Dental is a growing, patient-focused dental practice providing comprehensive general, cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry. We are looking for a dependable and personable Scheduling Coordinator who can create an excellent patient experience while keeping the clinical schedule productive and organized. Position Summary The Scheduling Coordinator is the first point of contact for many of our patients. This position is responsible for answering calls, scheduling appointments, coordinating patient flow, filling schedule openings, and helping patients move forward with recommended care. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, confident on the phone, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dental office. Primary Responsibilities Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally Schedule new-patient, hygiene, emergency, and treatment appointments Provide a warm and welcoming patient experience Confirm appointments by phone, text, or email Maintain a productive doctor and hygiene schedule Fill cancellations and same-day schedule openings Contact overdue hygiene patients and manage the recall system Follow up with patients who have unscheduled treatment Check patients in and out when needed Collect copayments and patient balances Review basic appointment and financial information with patients Maintain an accurate short-call list Monitor voicemail, text messages, and online appointment requests Update patient information in the practice-management system Coordinate with the clinical team regarding emergencies and scheduling needs Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements Participate in morning huddles and team meetings Complete assigned daily scheduling and follow-up reports Performance Expectations Maintain a full and productive schedule Respond promptly to calls, messages, and appointment requests Reduce unfilled openings and last-minute cancellations Reappoint patients before they leave the office Follow up consistently without pressuring patients Communicate clearly with patients and team members Maintain accurate notes for every important patient interaction Arrive on time and provide reliable attendance Take ownership of assigned responsibilities Required Qualifications Excellent telephone and customer-service skills Strong organization and attention to detail Professional verbal and written communication Ability to manage multiple priorities Comfortable discussing appointments, balances, and treatment Basic computer and data-entry skills Dependable, positive, and team-oriented attitude Ability to remain calm when handling busy schedules or concerned patients Preferred Qualifications At least one year of dental front-office experience Experience with dental practice-management software Understanding of common dental terminology and procedures Experience with recall, insurance verification, and treatment follow-up Bilingual abilities are helpful but not required What Success Looks Like A successful Scheduling Coordinator keeps the schedule full, makes patients feel cared for, communicates effectively with the clinical team, and follows through on every call, message, and scheduling opportunity.
