00/HOUR We are seeking 3 Medical Schedulers to join a busy healthcare team in Novato. This fast-paced role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, managing multiple priorities, and providing exceptional customer service. You will coordinate appointments, verify information, and serve as a key point of contact for patients while supporting efficient clinic operations.
Location:
Novato, CA Schedule:
Monday-Friday, standard business hours
Length:
3+ months (possibility for perm hire if mutual fit)
Start:
ASAP Criminal Background check+ Drug screen: performed prior to starting Medical Scheduler duties: Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently. Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound patient calls. Verify insurance eligibility and obtain required patient information. Maintain and update patient records within EMR/EHR systems. Provide professional, courteous, and proactive customer service. Assist patients with scheduling questions and appointment changes. Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment. Utilize standard office equipment including scanners, copiers, and computers.
Medical Scheduler qualifications:
Previous medical scheduling experience preferred. Experience handling heavy phone volume preferred. Insurance verification experience preferred. EMR/EHR experience preferred. Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities. Ability to type 60+ WPM and maintain accuracy in a busy environment. Professional telephone etiquette and a team-oriented approach.
