High School graduate or its equivalency Prior experience in healthcare field or clinic setting preferred Previous scheduling experience in a health care environment is preferred (e.g., physician office, clinic or hospital Excellent Customer Service skills are required Must possess basic computer skills, such as Microsoft Excel and Word Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented Ability to multi- task and prioritize work Demonstrates superior customer service skills Must be highly skilled in verbal communication, problem solving, prioritization and organization Must have proven ability to maintain professional conduct and confidentiality in the care of patients Bilingual preferred Duties &
Responsibilities:
Job Summary The Clinic Surgery Scheduler coordinates and schedules all surgical procedures for patients scheduled through the Oroville Hospital clinics. The scheduler receives requests to schedule procedures from the physician and schedules the procedure with the OR surgery scheduler according to established guidelines. Duties Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for clinic patients Assure authorizations, clearances, consent, clinical and insurance information is obtained prior to scheduled surgery date Update and maintain your pending surgical cases on the Surgical Dashboard Communicate on a daily basis with Surgery Scheduling Coordinator, OR Department and Financial Counseling Communicate regularly with Pre-Operative Clinic to ensure required work up is complete before the Preop appointment Keep open lines of communication with the physicians, patients and management. Answers the phones in a professional and courteous manner Performs all duties in an independent manner with little or no need for direct supervision Coordinate with other hospital departments when special surgical needs occur Medical Assistant, Medical Assistant II job duties as needed Performs other duties as assigned
