Achieving that at scale means setting every employee up for success from Day 1. This role coordinates New Hire Orientation to ensure every new hire has a strong, well-organized first day at Tesla. We're looking for someone reliable, consistent, driven, and collaborative. You will own room setup, check-in, nametags, the new-hire inbox, attendance tracking, and reporting. You'll also support organizational development coordination and administration, along with leadership development or NHO projects as the site needs. The majority of your time will focus on New Hire Orientation operations and inbox support, with the remainder on reporting, start-list work, and project coordination. The pace is high and the standard is equally high. Priorities shift quickly—you'll think on your feet, navigate ambiguity, solve problems without waiting for direction, and stay collaborative under pressure. What You'll Do Prepare and run New Hire Orientation, including early room setup, check-in, onboarding tasks, badging and multi-factor authentication support, nametag preparation, escalations, and staying through dismissal Manage start lists, invites, and stakeholder communications: prepare and distribute lists, notify onboarding partners, resolve errors/duplicates, and keep information current Monitor the new-hire inbox, respond to inquiries, open and track tickets with IT or HRIS to resolution, handle no-show follow-ups, and coordinate reschedules with Recruiting and HR Track attendance, no-shows, and exceptions accurately; enter data and produce clear reports on key metrics On added rotation days, complete post-session closeout (attendance finalization, completions upload, room reset, supply restocking) and support related follow-ups such as time clock issues Proactively handle issues that arise during orientation and throughout the week—identify next steps, take action, and escalate to the right owner when needed Support organizational development coordination and administration, plus leadership development or NHO project work as site needs arise What You'll Bring 1+ year of experience in program coordination, HR operations, learning operations, event operations, or a related field Ability to work fully on-site; available Friday/Sunday/Monday (plus Tuesday or Thursday on rotation) and able to start as early as 6:00 a.m. on orientation days Strong organization and follow-through and ability to multi-task Comfortable giving and receiving feedback; thinks on feet and solves problems without waiting for direction Reliable, consistent, and driven: completes work to standard, improves processes, advances independently, and follows through Exempleary communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to speak in front of large audiences Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel and ability to learn internal tools Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $28.00 - $46.20/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
